Playoff Bound

The Green Gaels defeated the Founders Cup hosting Brampton Excelsiors Thursday night at the Garnet B Rickard and in doing so clinched a playoff spot.

With just 5 games left in the Gaels season there are still alot of possibilities left, however the Gaels lead their division and control their destiny when it comes to staying atop the Mid East. Winning the division would gurantee a top three finish in the standings and Home Floor advantage at least in the First round.

Ethan Harwood would get the start for the Gaels and a single Brampton Goal would see the Gaels trail 1-0 after 20 minutes.

Kromer, Platt, McKinney and Hyland would all find the net in the second and the Gaels led 4-2 after 40 minutes.

Hylands 2nd and 3rd of the night in the final frame would seal the deal and the Gaels would down the Excelsiors 9-4.

The Gaels return to action at home this weekend with Games Saturday at 7pm against Kahnawake and Sunday at 2pm vs Akwesasne.
