Green Gaels Billet Program

The Green Gaels are launching a Billet Program ahead of the 2026 season to help acclimate players from outside of the Durham Region to Clarington and provide a safe and welcoming environment in which these young men can feel comfortable as they continue their Lacrosse journey.

New experiences, a new city, and a new environment can all be overwhelming but this is where the vital role of a billet comes into play.

The Green Gaels are looking to provide a solid family home for all of our out-of-town players who need lodging and are looking to work with carefully selected billets to open their homes to these young players. We want to make our players comfortable from the day they first get here, and having nice family environments for them to stay in while they are in Durham Region is a real plus for our team and for the players. 

These surrogate families are able to develop a tremendous relationship with their billeted players, taking them into their homes and into their families, helping to ensure they have all their needs attended to while they play for the Green Gaels and develop as young men.

Billet families will be compensated $125 per week or $500 per month to help offset the costs associated with hosting a Green Gaels player for the spring and summer.
