Gaels down Hunters

The Green Gaels continued a busy weekend when they hosted the Kahnawake Hunters Saturday night at Rickard.

The visitors jumped out to an early 2-0 lead but would be able to score only 2 more the rest of the game on route to an 11-4 Gaels victory.

Ethan Harwood would get the start and win stopping 30 of 34 shots faced. While Max Taylor (3 goals, 5 assists) Quinn Hyland (2 goals, 5 assists) and Connor Platt (4 goals, 2 assists) would lead the Gaels offence.

The Green Gaels are right back at it Sunday afternoon at 2pm when they host the Akwesasne Indians. The Gaels final home game of the regular season then comes on Thursday night when the Halton Hills Bulldogs come to town. With just one week left to play the standings are still tight and the Gaels can finish anywhere from 1st through 7th, although 3rd place is beginning to look like the most likely scenario.
