Dennis Joins Gaels Management

With Paul Chamois returning as General Manager of the Green Gaels Junior Lacrosse Club for the 2024 season, the organization has decided to bring former Captain Bryce Dennis on board as Assistant General Manager moving forward.

Dennis joins the Gaels management team following two seasons on floor with the team in which he played 34 games amassing 29 goals and 44 assists.

Following surgery that will make him unavailable for his final season of Junior Lacrosse, a plan designed by General Manager Paul Chamois and team President Matt Chamois to offer Dennis a position with the organization upon his graduation from the team was moved up in order to ensure that he would be able to remain with the Green Gaels organization. Once the offer was made to Bryce, he quickly accepted the offer to come on board.

“Throughout my time playing for the Gaels, I got the opportunity to learn a lot about the team culture and what it means to be a Gael” said Dennis. “After realizing my playing days for the Gaels were done due to injury, I was presented with the opportunity to take on a new role as Assistant General Manager. I am very grateful for the opportunity to remain a part of the Gaels organization and help the team work towards a Founders Cup as part of the management team.”

According to General Manager Paul Chamois, bringing Bryce on board was a no-brainer.

“Bryce was a great leader both on and off the floor for our organization. While we are disappointed not to have him on the floor for the 2024 season, keeping Bryce involved with our organization and giving him the opportunity to learn in this role is a positive. We are confident that Bryce’s leadership skills and knowledge of our roster will be assets moving forward.”

Currently in his third year at the University of Guelph where he is studying towards a Bachelor of Commerce – Sport and Event Management, Dennis has already begun working with the Gaels ahead of the Joint Evaluation Camp between the Whitby Warriors Junior A Team, the Green Gaels Junior Lacrosse Club, the Clarington Shamrox Lacrosse Club, and the Whitby Warriors Junior C Team, that will be taking place on December 27th and 28th at Children’s Arena.
