Thursday night the Gaels hosted the Newmarket Saints, the Gaels were looking to get back in the win column and after a slow start came out with a huge win.
Craig Johannson got the start in goal. The Saints would draw first blood and take their only lead of the night. It was a tight period with the Gaels leading 3-2, and 4-3 before three straight Gaels goals saw the team up 7-3 after 20 minutes.
The Saints would battle back to start the second and get back within 2, however the rest of the game was all Green as we would outscore the Saints 13-3 on route to a 20-8 victory.
The Gaels would get right back to work Saturday, heading to Orillia looking to clinch First place in the division. Johannson would get the start in goal again and stop all but 6 shots as the Gaels easily walked out of Orillia with a 14-6 Victory.
The Green Gaels now turn their attention to the final week of the regular season with three road games Orillia (Wednesday), Halton (Saturday), Newmarket (Monday) and our Final Home Game (Thursday night against West Durham)
