Christmas Break Camp

The Green Gaels Junior Lacrosse Club and the Whitby Warriors Junior A Lacrosse Club are pleased to announce a joint evaluation and development camp over the Christmas Holidays at Children’s Arena (199 Arena Street) in Oshawa on the following dates and times:

  • Wednesday, December 28th                                       3:30PM to 5:30PM
  • Thursday, December 29th                                           3:30PM to 5:30PM

The cost to attend is $20 total.

All players with birth years of 2002 through to 2006 from Oshawa and Whitby are invited to attend the evaluation camp. Any player residing outside of Oshawa or Whitby, or whose playing rights do not belong to Oshawa Minor Lacrosse, Whitby Minor Lacrosse, the Clarington Shamrox, the Green Gaels Junior Lacrosse Club, or the Whitby Warriors Junior A Lacrosse Club must have written permission to run from their home centre in order to attend.

This is a mandatory camp for both the Whitby Warriors Jr A team and the Green Gaels Jr B team. Both coaching staffs will be present, and the coaching staffs for the Whitby Junior C and Clarington Junior C teams have been invited to attend in order to evaluate and prepare for the 2023 season as well. With the large number of Junior aged players away at school during the ‘normal’ Junior Lacrosse try-out window, this may be the only opportunity for you to be seen by the local coaching staffs before the season begins.

This camp will be full equipment for both days with contact and non-contact drills taking place on both dates. Players and goaltenders must provide their own equipment in order to attend. In order to maintain value for goaltenders, both clubs reserve the right to limit the number of goaltenders registered for the camp.

While this is an evaluation camp, it will also give players the opportunity to experience and develop at the highest levels of Junior Lacrosse.

Please RSVP via email to Greg O’Connor (goconnor2585@rogers.com) or Paul Chamois (pchamois@sympatico.ca) no later than Tuesday, December 20th. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call Greg O’Connor (905-706-2902) or Paul Chamois (416-809-3092).
