Big win against Mimico for annual #StandAgainstMS game

The Green Gaels put on a stellar performance for their annual #StandAgainstMS game. Rocking their full orange uniforms that will be put up for auction to further support a great cause, the Gaels give their fans a dominating 22-7 win over Mimico at home.

The Gaels get hot quickly in this one as Cole Tucker opens things up early in the first, and Jack Moores also scores in his first game back in the lineup this season. Mimico’s Tye Ingram answers back but the Gaels respond with three more of their own coming from Colton McNutt, Xander Johnson and Ryan Proctor.

Evan Clatney finishes up the first period scoring for Mimico with a goal with 8:38 remaining. That scoreless 8 minutes at the end of the first would by far be the longest amount of time without a goal in this big offensive performance from the Gaels.

Ty Taylor, Xander Johnson and Cole Tucker set the tone with three quick goals to start off the second period. Seven Gillingham is able to sneak in the only Mimico goal in the second frame on the power play.

The Gaels answer back with 7 straight goals coming from Colton McNutt, Brody Strong, Robbie Mcgrayne, and 2 goals from Kaleb Tatarek and Ty Taylor. This puts the Gaels up 15-3 after the second.

For the first time in any period in this one Mimico opens up the scoring in the third period with a goal from Evan Clatney. This is short lived as the Gaels answer back with 5 straight. These 5 were scored by Ty Taylor, Kaleb Tatarek, Robbie McGrayne, Cole Tucker and defender Matteo Siciliano.

Mimico's Zach Abu-Ali scores three of his own with goals from the Gael's Ryan Proctor and Colton McNutt in between. Finishing the game with a 22-7 Gaels win.

You can't ask for a much better way to host a game for #StandAgainstMS than a blowout night for the Gaels.

Some notable offensive performances include:

Cole Tucker 3G 7A 10P

Colton McNutt 3G 5A 8P

Robbie McGrayne 2G 9A 11P

Ty Taylor 4G 3A 7P

Another player worth mentioning is AP Caleb Hill who went in between the pipes for the third period to finish off the game for the Gaels.

Thank you to everyone involved in helping making nights like these possible on behalf of the Green Gaels Organization.
