2019 Award Winners


Tonight we hosted our Annual Awards Banquet, Congratulations to all of tonight's Winners and one last Thank You to everyone involved in the Green Gaels 2019 OJBLL Season.

Brock Haley was recognized as the OJBLL Eastern Conference MVP. In his second year with the Gaels Brock scored 50 goals and added 59 assists to finish the regular season with 109 points, good for 3rd overall in OJBLL regular season scoring. In 4 playoff games he was able to add 5 goals and 12 assists.

Steve Walsh and Malcolm Vivian were recognized as the OJBLL Eastern Conference top Goaltending Duo. Steve finished the regular season with 14 wins and a GAA of 6.22 good for 3rd overall in the OJBLL, while Malcolm added 5 wins and had a GAA of 4.88.

James Houston was the Winner of the Most Underrated Player Award. The Trophy was donated by STX Lacrosse. James played in 18 games for the Gaels adding 5 assists, and was a reliable defenceman for the team.

Adam Kitchen was the Winner of the Most Likely to Succeed Award. The Trophy was donated by the Brooklin Redmen Lacrosse Club. Kitchen scored 37 goals and added 61 assists during the regular season and added 9 goals and 7 assists in 4 playoff games.

Graeme McCrory was the Winner of the Ken Johnston Grinder of the Year Award. The Trophy was donated by the Oshawa Blueknights  Lacrosse Club. Graeme scored 5 goals and added 9 assists in Transition for the Gaels throughout 2019.

Darren Elliott was the Winner of the Jim Bishop Memorial Award for Dedication and Perseverance. The Trophy was donated by Brine Lacrosse. Darren scored 30 times and added 27 assists for the Gaels throughout 2019.

Brock Haley was the Winner of the Offensive MVP Award. The Trophy was donated by the Brooklin Merchants Senior Lacrosse Club.

Steve Walsh was the Winner of the Defensive MVP Award. The Trophy was Donated by the Whitby Warriors Junior A Lacrosse Club.

Dante Kulas was the Winner of the Rookie of the Year Award. The Trophy was donated by the Whitby Minor Lacrosse Association. The Rookie had 20 goals and 44 assists throughout 2019 for the Gaels..

The Green Gaels Presidents Trophy went to Mike Smith.

The OLA also honored three of our Volunteers earlier this year in Niagara Falls, Congratulations to Anne Boyle, Steve Pack and Sharlene Pack, Congratulations and a huge Thank You to all three.
