Regular Season Comes to an End

The Green Gaels were busy in the final week of the regular season. Three road games and one last home game would see the Gaels go 2-2 heading into the playoffs.

The Gaels headed out to Orillia Wednesday night only to be sent home with an 11-8 loss. McNutt and Christy led the offence with 4 points each, and Craig Johannson took the loss in net.

Thursday night the Gaels returned home and took a Stand Against MS. The Gaels won 9-3 and spent the night raising money for MS research. Christy led the offence with 5 points followed by Hicks and Drimmie with 4 points each. Garrett Thompson got the win between the pipes. The Gaels opponent for the night (the Ironheads) will miss the 2023 playoffs.

Saturday saw the Gaels head to Halton to take on the rival Bulldogs. 6 straight Bulldogs goals was just to much and the Gaels fell 10-7. Craig Johansson took the loss.

Monday night the Gaels saw an 8-3 lead turn into a 8-7 nightmare in Newmarket as the last place Saints almost came from behind for the Win. Garrett Thompson got the win in goal.

The Green Gaels will now take on Akwesasne in the first round of the playoffs.
