Gaels Win Opener

The Green Gaels opened their 2022 season at home Thursday night.

Returning Goaltender Malcolm Vivian would turn aside 32 of 38 shots in a 12-6 Green Gaels victory.

The Green Gaels were without a few players as they await there return from school. However they were able to overcome this and jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead.

Quinn Hyland led the way with 4 goals and 2 assists, while Brendan McDonnell and Connor Platt each had two themselves. The Gaels other goal scorers were Max Taylor, Zach Pipher, Bronwen Muller and AP Max McPherson.

The Gaels (1-0) have little time to rest as they hit the road for a Friday night tilt in Orillia (0-2). Our next home game is this Thursday when we host the Newmarket Saints (0-1).
