Home Opener Tonight at Darlington Arena

The Green Gaels are ready to kick off their home schedule this Saturday at 7:00 PM, and while the setting may be different, the excitement is as high as ever. Due to arena availability, the Gaels will host the Brampton Excelsiors at Darlington Arena in what promises to be a thrilling rematch between two evenly matched teams.

The Gaels opened their season with a hard-fought 11-10 road win over Brampton. Ryan Proctor paced the offense with 2 goals and 2 assists, while goaltender Craig Johannson held strong in net to secure the victory. With that early win under their belts, the Gaels are aiming to make a statement on home turf and keep their perfect record intact. Brampton, meanwhile, will be looking for payback and to spoil the home opener.

Fans attending Saturday's game are encouraged to support a great cause. The Green Gaels will be collecting gently used shoes at the front entrance as part of BioPed Bowmanville’s Soles 4 Souls campaign. All donations will go toward helping those in need — so bring any unwanted footwear and make a difference in the community.
